dr.shannon stanek

Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Stanek has always loved and cared for animals. After spending her 16th year as an exchange student in Australia, she moved to Virginia where she finished high school while working for a local veterinarian. She then attended Virginia Tech receiving two Bachelor’s degrees in Animal Science and Agricultural Economics before starting veterinary school at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine located on the Virginia Tech Campus.

After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Stanek joined a practice in Virginia, and started her own house call practice taking care of dogs, cats, horses and small ruminants. She moved to Pennsylvania in 1999, and has worked at a cat only practice, a small animal clinic, and at the Humane Society of Berks County while running a house call only practice.  Dr. Stanek is the former President of the American Association of House Call and Mobile Veterinarians. She purchased the Exton Vet Clinic in June 2006 where she continues to care for dogs and cats.

Dr. Stanek is the mother to two children, eight cats, and the family service dog.
